Civics and the Law Academy

The Outreach committee is presenting the Civics and the Law Academy on Friday March 31, 2017, beginning at 8:30. Civics and the Law is an educational session begun by the American Bar Association and adopted by the Maryland State Bar Association. The session is designed to be interactive sessions with high school students to demonstrate to them the importance of civics in their daily lives. The curriculum was developed by the ABA but it is sufficiently broad to allow the students to guide the discussions. This year it will be held at Edgewood Hall at Harford Community College, because we have outgrown the capacity of the high schools. We are looking for attorneys and judges who are interested in presenting.
