This is a reminder that the annual Bar Association Crab Feast is only a few weeks away, and the deadline for purchasing tickets is closing in. The crab feast will be held again this year at Baldwin’s Crab House in Joppa on Thursday, October 3, 2019 from 5:30 to 8:30. Tickets are $50 and include AYCE steamed crabs; go withs; beer, wine and soda. The crab feast is open to members and guests, so consider treating your staff! Also available on Wednesday, 15-minute online yoga, meditation, and strength training videos that you can do in your chambers, office, or home. Let’s get moving (run, power walk, jaunt, stroll, prance, or skip) to a healthier Bench/Bar!

OPENING FOR ASSISTANT PEOPLE’S COUNSEL
The Harford County Council is seeking an Assistant People’s Counsel. This is a contractual hourly position without benefits. This position represents the interests of the public in all matters and proceedings preliminary to, arising out of or affecting the zoning classification or reclassification of land in the county when the People’s Counsel either has a conflict or during periods of high caseload. Zoning hearings are conducted throughout the year, generally on Wednesday evenings. Candidates must have a Juris Doctorate degree from a duly-accredited law school, 2 to 3 years of litigation experience preferred, familiarity with the rules of evidence, and an ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
