Dear Members,

Recently, with the assistance of a work group and the By-Laws Committee, the Executive Council undertook an extensive review of the HCBA By-Laws and we have approved significant changes to the By-Laws.

As required by Article XXVIII, “By-Laws may be adopted, amended or revised by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the Qualified Members (Article III (a)) who are preset, provided that at least thirty (30) day notice will be given to the members of any proposed By-Law amendment thereto.”  Thus, for your review, this email contains links to our current By-Laws, our current By-Laws showing the proposed edits, and a clean, “final” version.

Please take an opportunity during this notice period to review the proposal, as we will be voting on the changes at our May 13, 2016 Annual Meeting.
