STATE’S ATTORNEY FOR HARFORD COUNTY–VACANCY
State’s Attorney for Harford County, Maryland, Joseph I. Cassilly, has given notice that he is not seeking re-election and is retiring effective January 1, 2017. Notice is hereby given, pursuant to the Maryland Constitution, Article V, Section 11, that the Circuit Court for Harford County is accepting applications for any attorney interested in being appointed as State’s Attorney to fill the vacancy for the remainder of the term, which will expire in 2018. Any attorney in good standing and admitted to practice before the Maryland Court of Appeals and residing in Harford County for at least two years, may apply by submitting an application to Teri Scherer, Court Administrator, by the close of business at 4:30 p.m., November 22, 2016.
